As well as research seminars running throughout the Fall and Winter Terms, the Department of Historical Studies hosts conferences (both faculty- and student-led), an annual masterclass in historiography, and the Natalie Zemon Davis Memorial Lecture Series.
Conferences upcoming in 2024/25 include the Sixth Biennial MECERN Conference, Inclusion and Exclusion in Medieval Central Europe, EurAsian Transformations Cluster of Excellence Urban Multilingualisms workshops, and the Fourteenth Annual REFORC Conference on Early Modern Christianity. We are also very proud to co-host the Late Antique and Byzantine Studies Graduate Student Colloquium in cooperation with the University of Vienna. Their most recent conference was Telling Byzantine History: Current Trends and New Directions.
