One of the most valuable experiences I had in graduate school has been the opportunity to volunteer in the International Students of History Association (ISHA), an experience that shaped both my professional and personal growth. ISHA is the place where I managed to experiment myself in new roles and develop skills that were fundamental to my academic career, the kind of skills that you are supposed to have, but nobody tells you how to get. This is why I decided to write to the Historical Sciences Department, and tell a bit about the experience.
