The 24th volume of Carnival is now available online. Carnival is published by the International Students of History Association. The Editor-in-Chief for this year's journal is our PhD candidate Julia Boechat Machado, with an editorial board that includes alumni Zorana Cvijanovic and Brooklyn Hortensine.

Robyn Dora Radway Wins Prestigious Book Prize

The Department of Historical Studies is delighted that Associate Professor Robyn Radway has won the 2025 Center for Austrian Studies Book Prize for her monograph Portraits of Empires: Habsburg Albums from the German House in Ottoman Constantinople.

István Rév, Professor at the Central European University and Founding Director of the Blinken OSA Archivum, retired on August 1, 2025

István Rév has been Director of the Blinken OSA Archivum since its foundation in 1995. As a research center and archives of historical documents of the recent past, the Cold War, dictatorships, human rights struggles, as well as mass atrocities against human rights, the Archivum, although part of a private university, essentially performs a public service.
