Balázs Trencsényi is currently Director of CEU Institute for Advanced Study in Budapest.
He supervises the following PhD students:
- Cody James Inglis (Between Freedom and Constraint: The Republican Left in Hungary and Yugoslavia, 1917–1948)
- Benedek Pál (Between Crisis and Reform: Polish and Hungarian Critical Intellectual Discourses on the Future of State Socialism, 1979–1989)
