Susan Zimmermann is currently principal investigator on the ERC funded project ZARAH: Women’s labour activism in Eastern Europe and transnationally, from the age of empires to the late 20th century.
She supervises the following doctoral dissertations:
- Gulrano Ataeva (Threads of Emancipation: Changing Labour Experiences of Women in Central Asia under Soviet Rule)
- Elisabeth Luif (Integrating the workers into the 'new state'? Fascism, Corporatism, and the Working Class: Labor Arbitration in 1930s Austria)
- Jelena Tešija (The International Co-operative Women’s Guild and Central and Eastern Europe, 1921–1963: Labour Activism Beyond the “Usual Suspects”)
