New Publication: From Ctesiphon to Toledo: A Comparative View on Early Church Councils in East and West Conference Proceedings

In October 2023, we hosted a conference entitled From Ctesiphon to Toledo: A Comparative View on Early Church Councils in East and West. The proceedings from this conference have been edited by Volker Menze and David Rockwell; they are now published in Annales Historiae Conciliorum 53/1 (2023), and are available online. Featuring contributions from Jennifer Barry, Claire Fauchon-Claudon, Uta Heil, David Hunter, Ephrem Aboud Ishac, Sabine Panzram, Richard Price, Sebastian Scholz, and Madalina Toca, the volume addresses significant questions around the different traditions, languages, and transmission of material, as well as the historical frameworks in which late antique and early medieval councils took place.
