Students enrolled on MAs in the Department of Historical Studies can take Advanced Certificates, or Specializations in different areas of study. These usually involve a mandatory class or two, and attendance at some elective classes, and students receive an additional certificate upon graduation.
In May and June 2025, we are holding online info sessions on the Advanced Certifcates and Specializations listed below. Students who have received an offer for 2025/26 or who are interested in applying in the next application cycle are warmly invited to join these sessions and find out more about studying in the department. Faculty and students will be available to answer any and all questions!
Friday May 2, 2025: Advanced Certificate in Political Thought & Specialization in Jewish Studies
Friday May 16, 2025: Advanced Certificate in Digital Humanities & Advanced Certificate in Cultural Heritage Studies
Friday May 30, 2025: Advanced Certificate in Eastern Mediterranean Studies & Advanced Certificate in Religious Studies
Tuesday June 10, 2025: Advanced Certificate in Romani Studies
