Kings and Generals: The Day Europe Almost Fell

The Day Europe Almost Fell (1241-1242) is a newly published Kings and Generals documentary on the Mongol Invasion of Hungary. Filmed in the summer of 2023, the documentary features our faculty and students discussing multiple aspects of the Mongol Invasion, and the surviving documentary and material evidence for it. It features Prof. Jozsef Laszlovszky, Balazs Nagy, and PhD candidates Jack Wilson and Bernat Racz. Jack and Bernat also have an upcoming chapter on the material evidence for the Mongol sieges in Poland and Hungary.
