The jubiliee volume of the Annual of Medieval Studies has recently been published. Combining contributions from alumni and current PhD candidates, it provides an overview and celebration of the depth and breath of investigation into the medieval world in the new Department of Historical Studies at CEU.

Chronologically, articles range from current PhD candidate Ada Kök's examination of fourth-century eschatological invectives and Gaetano Longo's investigation of neo-platonists, to Salome Gvinishvili's evaluation of sixteenth-century Georgian wall paintings. Thematically, there are key focuses on medieval philosophy, and on the history of Hungary, particularly under the hoof of the Mongols. Highlights include an exceptionally well-written chapter by Dunja Milenkovic and Alena Minko's stomach-rumbling contribution.
