Prof. Marcell Sebők has a new edited volume: The Beauty of Ugliness and the Ugliness of Beauty. Coedited with Anna M. Migdal, the volume aims to redefine the concept of the medieval monster by revisiting issues that have received little attention. Five essays explore disability, gendered monstrosity, disease and demons, marriage, and the debate over nature vs. nuture in medieval and post-medieval contexts.
